Post-Ukimiya Catch All
Sep. 29th, 2017 10:01 pm[Ayumu returns to the same old, same old, when he finally returns to his world.
Well, perhaps not. Things are different even shaded with normalcy, and there's really no changing that. His brother's returned, and contrary to Ayumu's previous resolution to return to their parent's home when that time came, he's been allowed to stay with his brother and Madoka in Tokyo. The justification was that it would be far easier to handle certain things by staying in closer contact with his brother, in spite of the slight tension that lingered in the apartment with his brother's return. Things weren't 'normal', not between him and his brother and not between Kiyotaka and Madoka, but they were getting there now that the dust was settled.
Ayumu returns to school. He doesn't plan on changing his life much, even with his coming health challenges. He attends meetings with doctors and geneticists hand picked by his brother, is put on a medication regime that's a little overwhelming but helps manage his symptoms. His body was already deteriorating, his hemopathic functions only the first of many to start failing, but with Hizumi's research he was at least forearmed, and so he took his good days and his bad days in stride as much as he was able.
During that time, he'll occasionally visit his friends on his good days. He doesn't make a nuisance of himself, but... he is a little lonely sometimes, after all that time in murdercastle. If they have time to spend time together, he'll stay for a few hours. If not, maybe they can meet up another day-- He could cook them lunch, or take them sight seeing around Tokyo, or they could show him around their homes. Really, once school was out each day and on the weekends, the possibilities were plenty as long as he didn't have errands or an appointment to attend. And he wasn't exactly keen to spend too much time at home on some days, what with his brother and sister in law repairing their relationship after Kiyotaka's two year long abandonment.
Though those appointments and scheduled treatments do grow more frequent over the following months.... as do the bad days. There's one span of weeks specifically Ayumu seems in poor health, though that might be emotional as well as physical, and he chooses to avoid contact with anyone. The news that Hizumi had volunteered for testing to extend Ayumu's life was too much for him to pretend he was alright with.
But he wants to make the most of all the time he has, so even that depression doesn't last long. After all, his health is still declining, and the times he has to spend days in the hospital grow. If things follow the path they should, he'll be living in a hospital full time about a year and a half after Ukimiya.]
[OOC: Post-Ukimiya catch all log! For everything and anything basically, just suggest the scenario you want to play out. I tried to detail the possibilities for his immediate future ala canon, but feel free to insert whatever wherever. Go wild basically.]
